the world is increasingly becoming a scary place. we see wars and rumors of wars, diseases and pandemics, earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, and other natural disasters. the news media is filled with stories about evil people doing evil things to others. it’s enough to make anybody want to hide in a cave somewhere!

the bible says that the end times will be characterized by natural calamities, wars, and rumors of wars, famines, and pandemics. the world has never been a more dangerous place than it is today. the bible also says that people will be deceived by false prophets and false teachers who will lead many astray with their lies. these are signs that we are living in the last days before jesus christ returns to take his bride home!
but there is good news too!
we don’t have to live in fear. god has given us a promise for each of these situations: “my eyes are on the faithful in the land, that they may dwell with me; he whose walk is blameless will minister to me” (psalm 101:6).
when we read the word of god, we find refuge, comfort, peace, and hope. the bible says: “for god has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and self-control” (2 timothy 1:7). if we have the holy spirit living inside of us then our fears can be laid to rest because he knows what is ahead. he will give us the courage to face what lies ahead because he knows how to overcome it all!
the bible says that we are to be in the world but not of it. the world system is ruled by satan. it is full of sin and wickedness and he wants nothing more than for us to join him in his rebellion against god.
but through the word of god, we can have victory over these things! if we keep our minds renewed by reading god’s word, we will be able to stand strong in these times of trouble and know that god has our best interests at heart.
when you renew your mind through reading the bible, you are also renewing your soul through fellowship with god. you become more like jesus every time you spend time with him through his word. and when you become more like jesus, satan cannot touch you!
the bible says in romans 12:2 (niv): “do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” the more we conform to this world’s pattern, the more difficult it becomes for us to experience god’s kingdom on earth as it is in heaven.
we need to renew our minds by meditating on the word of god so that we can be transformed into his image.
there is no better place to find comfort than in the word of god. the bible is filled with promises that can change your life. it will give you hope, peace, and joy when everything else seems lost.
the bible will give you supernatural wisdom that can help you make difficult decisions in your life.
the bible is our stronghold in this chaotic world. it gives us hope for tomorrow and helps us to face our challenges today.
we can also find comfort in knowing that god has promised never to leave or forsake us (deuteronomy 31:6).
to be honest, i don’t know what the future holds for us. but one thing is for sure: we need to renew our minds through the word of god if we want to be able to live in this world with joy, peace, and confidence
